Armenians “ready” to hand over dead body of Azeri man

Armenians are ready to hand over the body of an Azerbaijani national killed by separatist forces in the occupied district of Kalbacar in July, said Bako Saakyan, head of Azerbaijan’s rebel region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Hasanov was shot and killed while putting up armed resistance to Armenians in Kalbacar, according to the separatist authorities. He had visited the district together with two other Kalbacar residents, Shahbaz Quliyev and Dilqam Asgarov, who were taken captive.

Armenians captured Kalbacar District in April 1993. They refused to comply with a UN Security Council resolution calling for immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the occupying force from the district.
