Energy Minister: Azerbaijan's electricity production capacity increased by 5%

With the commissioning of new power plants in Azerbaijan, the total electricity production capacity of the country has reached 7,953.9 MW, which means an increase of 392.4 MW or 4.9% compared to last year, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov said in his article published in the official press on the occasion of the October 20 - the Energy Workers' Day.

According to Shahbazov, this year, 940.5 million kWh of electricity was exported to Turkiye, 694.1 million kWh to Georgia, 95.6 million kWh to Iran, and 75.6 million kWh to Russia: "The import of electricity decreased to 104.9 million kWh during this period.”
