Paramount delivers vehicles to Azerbaijan, announces new partnership

South African company Paramount announced at the Azerbaijan Defence Expo on 11 September that it has delivered six Marauder mine-protected vehicles to the Ministry of Defence Industries of Azerbaijan Republic (MODIAR), as it launched a new aerospace joint venture agreement.

The delivery of the six vehicles builds on the 2008 deal between the Azeri government and Paramount to establish a manufacturing facility to produce 15 Matador and 15 Marauder vehicles. A further order for 30 Matador and 30 Marauder vehicles was placed by MODIAR in 2011.

The Marauder can carry a crew of two and eight troops in the rear compartment.
