Erdogan honored with Heydar Aliyev Order

President Ilham Aliyev conferred the Heydar Aliyev Order on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azartac news agency reported.

The Heydar Aliyev Order was conferred on the newly elected Turkish president for his special contribution to the strengthening and developing friendly relations between the two countries.

Erdogan was officially sworn in as Turkish president on Aug. 10 after winning the country's first public vote for head of state.
