Azerbaijan doesn't recognize Abkhazia elections

Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry has said the country does not recognize the presidential elections held in Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan reiterates its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and declares that it does not recognize the so-called presidential elections held in Abkhazia, Georgia on August 24, 2014,” the ministry said in a statement.
