Ilham Aliyev receives the Commander of the U.S. Transport

President Ilham Aliyev received the new  U.S. Commander of Transport, Paul Joseph Selwan, and his entourage.

During the meeting they discussed the development of US-Azerbaijani relations in various fields. Particular attention was paid to the transport potential, the country's favorable geographical location and the available opportunities in this field.

Azerbaijan's  great role in the transport securing international coalition forces during an operation in Afghanistan was noted, according to the site of the head of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that a significant part of the American forces in Afghanistan and military equipment, including heavy equipment will be displayed including through Azerbaijan. In this regard, it is assumed to involve the entire transport infrastructure  of Azerbaijan.
