Azerbaijan, Italy sign cooperation agreements

A ceremony to sign Azerbaijani-Italian cooperation agreements was held in Rome, Azartac reported.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Matteo Renzi adopted “The Joint Declaration on strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Italian Republic”.

“The Agreement on maritime transport between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Italian Republic” was signed by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and Italian Minister for Infrastructures, Transport and Telecommunications Maurizio Lupi.

“The Memorandum of Understanding on economic cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Italian Republic” was signed by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov and Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda.

“The Memorandum of Understanding on cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities of the Italian Republic” was signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev and State Secretary of the Italian Ministry of Heritage and Cultural Activities Francesca Barracciu.

“The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of sport between the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Department of Regional Affairs, Sports and Autonomy – Sports Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministries of the Italian Republic” was signed by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and State Secretary of the Italian Cabinet of Ministers Graziano Delrio.
