Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is reportedly preparing a power transition amid worsening health, according to an investigation by Novaya Gazeta Europe.

Kadyrov, who has been receiving treatment in a private clinic owned by his wife, is said to have reduced public activity and delegated official duties to Prime Minister Magomed Daudov. His children and loyal clans are gaining influence.

His eldest daughter, Aishat Kadyrova, resigned as deputy prime minister to pursue business, while her sisters also left government roles. Family assets are reportedly being transferred into relatives' names.

Kadyrov is believed to be positioning his 17-year-old son Adam and 26-year-old daughter Aishat as successors, while seeking guarantees from President Vladimir Putin to protect his family’s interests.
