Armenia’s Pashinyan confirms planned visit to Turkey

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed on Tuesday that he is planning a visit to Turkey, saying more details would be announced in a joint statement at a later date.

“Yes, such a visit is planned. Usually, the sides make a joint announcement in such cases, but our colleagues have shown some impatience,” Pashinyan said, referring to Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan, who earlier mentioned the trip.

“In order not to violate prior agreements, I can only confirm what is already known at this stage,” he added.
