Erdogan, Mirziyoyev to attend Turkic States summit in Azerbaijan

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan to attend the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in the city of Gabala, Turkish media reported.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also pay a working visit to Azerbaijan on Oct. 6–7 to participate in the summit, his press service said.

Held under the theme “Regional peace and security,” the meeting will address ways to deepen cooperation in political, economic, innovation, energy, transport and humanitarian fields among member states.

The Organization of Turkic States includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
