President Ilham Aliyev and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso made statements for the press Azerbaijan and the European Union have signed a Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement on a framework agreement on the general principles of the participation of Azerbaijan Republic in the EU programmes. The document was signed by Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard, Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dimitrios Tsoungas on the behalf of Greece, which is currently chairing the Council of the European Union, and Head of the Azerbaijani Mission to the EU, Fuad Isgandarov after the expanded meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso with the participation of delegations, APA reports. Following the signing ceremony, President Ilham Aliyev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso made statements for the press.
