Russia invites Azerbaijan to join Russian language organisation

Russia has invited Azerbaijan to join the International Organization for the Russian Language, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said.

Speaking at a bilateral intergovernmental commission meeting in Zangilan, Overchuk said the organisation’s secretariat began operations in Sochi on April 1.

He said Azerbaijan’s participation could help expand cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.
