Azerbaijan parliament approves new composition of election commission

Azerbaijan’s parliament on Monday approved a newly formed composition of the Central Election Commission, appointing 18 members and three alternate members.

The issue was discussed at a session of the Milli Majlis and approved in a single reading.

The newly appointed members of the commission are Sevinj Abdullayeva, Fuad Javadov, Bakhsheyish Askerov, Naila Askerova, Tofig Hasanov, Elchin Khalafov, Ramiz Ibrahimov, Rovzat Gasymov, Almas Gahramanli, Etibar Guliyev, Elmar Mammadov, Ilham Mammadov, Arifa Mukhtarova, Gabil Orujov, Huseyn Pashayev, Mazahir Panahov, Mikayil Rahimov and Ilkin Shahbazov.

The parliament also appointed three alternate members of the commission: Aysel Jalilova, Zuriya Garayeva and Elnara Mustafayeva.
