Iranian parliament speaker arrives in Azerbaijan

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit, according to official sources.

Ghalibaf is expected to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation being held in Baku.

The Iranian speaker is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders and officials from participating countries to discuss regional cooperation and inter-parliamentary ties.

The visit comes amid ongoing contacts between Baku and Tehran on bilateral relations, regional security and transport projects.
