Ignazio Cassis Arrives in Azerbaijan on First Official Visit

Ignazio Cassis, Member of the Swiss Federal Council, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, is paying an official visit to Azerbaijan.

The Swiss diplomat announced the visit on his official X (formerly Twitter) page.

"Glad to pay my first official visit to Azerbaijan. Switzerland highly values its partnership with Azerbaijan," Cassis noted.

He stated that as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, he aims to promote dialogue, peace, stability, and prosperity in the South Caucasus, as well as to deepen cooperation in trade, innovation, and the economy.

"This visit will mark the beginning of broader regional contacts," Cassis emphasized.
