Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended condolences to the Central African Republic (CAR) following a gold mine collapse that left numerous people dead and injured, the ministry said in a post on X.
"We express our deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the people and government of the Central African Republic. We wish a swift and full recovery to the injured," the ministry said.
An estimated 100 people are reported dead after an artisanal gold mine collapsed near the border between CAR and Cameroon.
