Armenian Border and Customs Officers Complete Training in US
Personnel from Armenia’s Border Guard Troops and Customs Service have completed training in the United States, according to the US Embassy in Yerevan.
"Representatives of the Border Guard Troops and the State Revenue Committee of Armenia participated in a training on international railway border operations conducted by US Customs and Border Protection in El Paso, Texas," the embassy said.
The session offered participants insight into US practices in customs and border enforcement, risk-based targeted inspections, and railway transit screening procedures.
"Participants observed practical applications of these processes and discussed approaches to secure, efficient border operations that could be applied in Armenia within the framework of the 'Trump Route' initiative in the context of expanding regional railway connectivity," the statement added.
