Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow Condemns Provocative Act Outside Guest House
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation has issued a statement strongly condemning the placement of provocative imagery targeting Azerbaijan outside the embassy's Guest House by unidentified individuals on August 27.
The embassy stated that the incident, beyond artificially straining Azerbaijan-Russia bilateral relations, may constitute part of a wider biased media campaign directed against Azerbaijan by certain Russian outlets in recent times.
Baku called on competent Russian authorities to provide an immediate legal assessment, conduct a comprehensive investigation, and take preventative measures against future incidents. The diplomatic mission underscored its expectation that Moscow fully adhere to its obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to guarantee the safety of embassy personnel and prevent actions disrupting normal diplomatic operations.
