A high-ranking Azerbaijani delegation led by Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov will visit Tehran on Monday for talks, local media reported on Sunday.

The delegation will make the trip at the invitation of Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan, Tehran Times daily reported.

General Hasanov will hold two rounds of talks with Dehghan and will meet with other senior Iranian political and defense officials to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues, the report said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Tehran last week at an invitation from Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The two presidents discussed bilateral relations. Four cooperation agreements were also signed between the two neighbors during the Azeri president's trip.
