Azerbaijan, Iran sign 4 cooperation documents

Azerbaijan and Iran signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and an agreement on Wednesday to boost bilateral cooperation.

The documents were sealed in sports, energy, urban development and road construction sectors. The two countries also agreed to cooperate in the sphere of emergency services.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday for talks on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

Upon his arrival at Tehran's Mehrabad airport, Aliyev said that a new chapter is opening in relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.
