Hungary's foreign trade chief Peter Szijjarto held talks with Azerbaijani government representatives on Hungary's involvement in the construction of a large water reservoir and the establishment of a high-performance data centre in Baku on Monday.

Attending a session of the two countries' mixed economic committee, he said the two sides also agreed that the Azeri government would put aside funds for the purchase of 10,000 heads of cattle. He added that a veterinary agreement

would be signed in the afternoon.

Szijjarto met Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev, Energy Minister Natiq Aliyev, Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev.

Concurrently, a Hungarian-Azerbaijani business forum was held with 28 Hungarian companies attending, including construction company TriGranit and the Hungarian units of T-Systems and Knorr Bremse.

Szijjarto told MTI that two-way trade had grown by over 26 percent in a year, with livestock export increasing 43-fold.

The direct Wizz Air flights launched between the two capital cities have been taken up by 14,000 passengers, he said.
