Weapons, ammunition found in garbage bins in Baku

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition has been found in garbage bins in the Binagadi district of Baku, the city police told Interfax.

The police cordoned off the garbage bins and started an investigation.

The bins contained an RGD-9 anti-tank grenade launcher round, a grenade launcher, 37 RGD-5 grenades, 56 F-1 grenades, 103 hand grenade fuses, 38 VOG-17 grenades, two SVD sniper rifles, 15 AKSU submachine guns, an RPK machine gun, an AKA submachine gun, six AKS submachine guns and two AKM submachine guns.

Police also found 23,680 7.62 Kalashnikov submachine gun rounds, 6,480 5.45 Kalashnikov submachine gun rounds, rocket flares, smoke charges, a hunting rifle and gun barrels.
