Smartphones banned inside Azeri parliament building

The use of smartphones inside the Milli Maclis (Azerbaijan’s parliament) has been banned for “security reasons”, said Akif Tavakkuloglu, head of the parliament’s press service.

The ban, which applies to everybody, including members of parliament and journalists, took effect on Jan. 1.
