Aliyev promotes chief of his guard to Col-Gen

Azeri President Ilham Aliyev decreed yesterday to promote Baylar Ayyubov, chief of his personal guard, to Colonel-General.The decree was posted on the presidential website.Colonel-General is the highest military rank in Azerbaijan.

Ayyubov also served as the chief of guard under former President Heydar Aliyev.
