Leyla Aliyeva participates in opening of Volgograd-Baku Friendship Park

On December 20 the Russian city of Volgograd hosted the ceremony of opening of Volgograd-Baku Friendship Park.The event was attended by the Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Public and Political Issues of Azerbaijani president's administration Ali Hasanov, Governor of the Volgograd region Sergei Bozhenov, mayor of Volgograd city Irina Guseva.The park, which was created using an Azerbaijani national motif, occupies over 7 hectares of land, in one third of the existing Central Park of Culture and Recreation.The solemn groundbreaking ceremony of the park was held on June 5, 2013, on the first day of the fourth Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum "Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue 2013".(Trend)ANN.Az
