First Central Asia-Azerbaijan summit to be held in Turkmenistan on October 8
The first summit in the Central Asia-Azerbaijan format will be held in Turkmenistan on October 8, Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov said at an informal meeting of Azerbaijani and Central Asian leaders.
He said a draft agenda had already been prepared and sent to all participating countries.
The summit will discuss regional and international security, stronger political and diplomatic cooperation, and the development of energy links and sustainable transport and logistics corridors.
The agenda also includes climate change, efficient use of water resources, restoration of the Aral Sea, and expanded cultural, educational and scientific ties.
