Azerbaijani ombudsman fills Bulgarian official in on Armenian crimes

A meeting was held at the Ombudsman's Office with a delegation led by the head of the Bulgarian Anti-Discrimination Commission, Ana Jumaliyeva, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

At the meeting with the Bulgarian delegation, Ombudswoman Sabina Aliyeva spoke about the developing relations between the two countries, as well as her recent visit to Bulgaria.

It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding, signed between the parties, will contribute to the deepening of relations in the field of human rights and freedoms.

The guests were informed in detail about the activities of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Institution and the newly-established structural units.

In addition, the Ombudswoman provided detailed information on the international humanitarian violations committed by Armenia during the Patriotic War, as well as the investigative activities carried out by the institution to inform the international community about those cases.

It was noted that 7 fact-finding missions were carried out during the war, and then 3, and reports on the results were prepared and sent to relevant international organizations.
Expressing gratitude to the Azerbaijani Ombudswoman, Ana Jumaliyeva spoke about the developing relations between the two countries. She also shared her views on the exchange of experience between the two institutions and provided information on its activities in the field of combating discrimination.

We should note that a number of official meetings will be held during the visit, and the cases of human rights violations in Agdam and Tartar will be investigated on the spot.
