Ursula von der Leyen: Azerbaijan - crucial partner in EU's efforts to become climate neutral

Azerbaijan is indeed a crucial partner for the EU, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said following her meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

"You has always been reliable not only for the security of our supplies but also in our efforts to become climate neutral," the European Commission official said.

She noted that the European Union has decided to diversify energy supplies and turn to more reliable partners including Azerbaijan among them.
