Turkiye's ruling party calls on Iran's leadership to investigate attack on Azerbaijani embassy

"Azerbaijan created new realities in the region after it liberated lands from occupation. We are proud of it," said Numan Kurtulmus, deputy chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party of Turkiye (AK Party).

"I pray for God's mercy on our brother who was martyred as a result of an armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran. I hope that the Iranian leadership will investigate the incident. The security of diplomatic missions worldwide is ensured in accordance with international law. This is an important issue," he stressed.

Deputy Chairman of the AK Party, former prime minister Binali Yildirim also expressed his condolences to the people of Azerbaijan: "I condemn the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. May God have mercy on our brother who was martyred as a result of the attack. I offer my condolences to Azerbaijan."
