NATO supports normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia

NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina welcomes the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan announcing the mutual release of detainees, other confidence building measures and a clear commitment to reach a long awaited peace deal.

According to him, NATO strongly supports these efforts and the normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
