The Committee on International Affairs of the Jogorku Kenesh [Parliament of Kyrgyzstan] has adopted in the third reading a bill on ratification of the agreement between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan on avoiding double taxation on October 21, 2024, reported from Kyrgyz media.

"The Committee on International Affairs of the Jogorku Kenesh today considered and adopted in the third reading a bill on ratification of the agreement between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan on avoiding double taxation on income and preventing tax evasion," reads the report.

According to First Deputy Minister of Economy Sanzhar Bolotov, the agreement was signed on April 24, 2024, in Baku.

"The agreement is considered as a means of attracting direct foreign investments into the republic's economy and creates conditions for foreign companies to invest in various sectors of the Kyrgyz Republic's economy by eliminating double taxation and providing guarantees for taxation only in one country," he said.
