Ilham and Mehriban Aliyev attend military parade in Beijing

A military parade marking the 80th anniversary of victory in China’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and in World War Two was held in Beijing on Thursday.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony at Tiananmen Square, where they were welcomed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan.

The parade showcased hundreds of aircraft, including fighter jets and bombers, as well as the latest weaponry, featuring precision-guided missiles capable of reaching hypersonic speeds.
