Azerbaijani Defense Minister visits China

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and other leadership of the ministry are on a working visit to Beijing to participate in the 12th Xiangshan Forum at the invitation of the Minister of National Defense of the People's Republic of China, Admiral Dong Jun.

On September 18, the Minister of Defense attended the official opening ceremony of the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, held under the slogan "Protecting the International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development".Within the framework of the forum, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with his Chinese counterpart Admiral Dong Jun and General Xu Xueqiang, Director of the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Council.

During the meetings, the current state and development prospects of military cooperation between our countries were discussed, as well as a detailed exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

It was noted that the forum, which will be held with the participation of heads of defense agencies from more than 100 countries, representatives of international organizations and analytical centers, as well as high-ranking military personnel and influential experts on military and security issues, will continue until September 19.
