African ministers briefed on Azerbaijan’s social reforms

Azerbaijan’s labour and social protection minister Anar Aliyev met visiting delegations from Morocco and Sudan to discuss cooperation in employment and welfare, the ministry said.

Aliyev told Moroccan minister of economic inclusion, small business, employment and skills Younes Sekkouri that Azerbaijan attaches importance to expanding ties with the kingdom. Sekkouri said there was significant potential to deepen cooperation and share experience in employment and social protection.

In a separate meeting with Sudan’s minister of human resources and social welfare Mutasim Ahmed Saleh Adam, both sides highlighted broad opportunities for cooperation in the social sphere and noted the significance of the recent meeting of the OIC Labour Centre in Baku.

At both meetings, the Azerbaijani side presented information on the country’s ongoing social reforms and exchanged views on future collaboration.
