Iran’s ambassador visits the Azerbaijan–Georgia border crossing

 Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchili, visited the “Red Bridge” customs checkpoint on the border between Azerbaijan and Georgia, Iran’s IRNA news agency reported on Sunday.

During the visit, the diplomat reviewed transit conditions for Iranian trucks and met Azerbaijani customs officials to discuss inspection procedures and ways to expedite administrative processes.

The report said the Red Bridge crossing serves as a key transit link connecting the Persian Gulf, the Black Sea and Europe, providing Iran with access to Eastern European markets through Georgian ports.
