Pashinyan: TRIPP project to open new opportunities for Armenia and Azerbaijan
30.10.2025 13:00

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at the Paris Peace Forum, said the TRIPP project would open new communication and transit opportunities between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“Regional communication means that Armenia and Azerbaijan will be able to use each other’s territories for domestic, bilateral and international connections. This will create a new route for international transit. Amid the global supply chain crisis, it may affect both international trade and the situation in our region,” Pashinyan said.

He added that the project would enable new transport corridors from the Persian and Omani Gulfs to the Black Sea, as well as between the Caspian and Mediterranean Seas, opening new prospects for Armenia.

Pashinyan called the upcoming parliamentary elections an important political event linked to the peace process and also touched upon Armenia–Turkey relations.

“There are no major obstacles now to opening the border and establishing diplomatic ties. I am confident the time will come when Armenia and Turkey will be normal neighbours and cooperate politically and economically,” he said.

Concluding his remarks, Pashinyan declared, “We have peace, and that is the reality,” describing the moment as “a historic transformation” not only in relations with Azerbaijan but across the entire region.
