23.04.2026 11:00

British tabloid The Mirror, citing former CIA analyst Larry Johnson, reported that U.S. President Donald Trump allegedly sought access to the “nuclear codes” during an emergency meeting held amid the Iran crisis. Johnson claimed that General Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, blocked the move.

However, the claim has not been confirmed by U.S. officials or major mainstream outlets. Newsweek said there was no evidence to support the viral allegation, while a White House spokesperson dismissed it as false.
