Baku says Crimea crisis should be resolved within Ukrainian law

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has said the conflict in Ukraine needs to be resolved within the country’s constitution. 

Commenting for reporters in Baku today on the referendum held in Crimea on the peninsula’s rejoining with Russia, Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan stands by the principle of territorial integrity.

“Azerbaijan respects the principle of territorial integrity because our country too suffered from aggression,” Mammadyarov said.
