Free Syrian Army “seizes” Socar tank truck: report
29.05.2020 10:19

Syrian rebels say they have seized a tank truck owned by Azerbaijan’s state oil company Socar.

Members of the Free Syrian Army released a picture of a truck with the Socar logo on it, according to APA news service.

It was not clear whether the truck supplied government forces with fuel.

Socar denied having any business deals with the government of Bashar Al-Assad.

“We have no businesses in Syria,” said Nizamaddin Quliyev, a spokesman for the Baku-based company. “That vehicle does not belong to us. The logo is fake.”
