Azerbaijani President: “Shah Deniz-2 project will change the energy map of the region”

“Shah Deniz-2 project will change the energy map of the region,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said addressing the signing ceremony of the final investment agreement on the second phase of Shah Deniz project, APA reports.He said that the upcoming projects within Shah Deniz-2 project will allow delivering the Azerbaijani gas to the markets that need it.The Head of State emphasized that Shah Deniz-2, TAP and TANAP are the world's largest energy projects and said it is expected that $35 billion will be invested and 30 000 new jobs will be created within these projects. The President congratulated the Azerbaijani people on this historic day and noted that the energy policy will contribute to transforming and diversifying Azerbaijan’s economy. Aliyev said that they had developed non-oil sector of the economy. We have managed to avoid "oil curse".ANN.Az
