Azerbaijan plans to double poultry production by 2015

This is one of the tasks setin a recently adopted state program for food security, according to CingizFaracov, head of the department for production and processing of animalproducts at the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to officialstatistics, the country produced 45,700 tons of poultry last year.

Faracov said the countryneeds new production facilities to achieve the goal.

"Increasing poultryproduction is one of our most important goals," he said.
