Socar increases gas output in first nine months of year

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.15 billion cubicmeters of gas in January-September, up from 5.12 billion cubic meters a yearearlier, the company said on its website.

SOCAR pumped 557.3 million cubic meters of gas in September, up from 551.2million cubic meters a year earlier.

The national energy producer delivered 7.46 billion cubic meters of gas in2012 and 7.08 billion cubic meters in 2011.

According to the SOCAR website, 29 billion cubic meters of gas was produced inthe country in 2012 and 26 billion cubic meters in 2011.
