Azerbaijani Central Bank to issue notes worth 5M manats

Azerbaijan’s Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) has registered prospectus of short-term notes worth five million manats of the country’s Central Bank (CBA), FIMSA said Jan. 12.

Some 50,000 notes at a par value of 100 manats each and the maturity period of 28 days will be issued.

Short-term notes are a tool of monetary policy to regulate money supply in circulation. Only banks can obtain notes.
