Don't be fooled by its muted exterior, this £3.75million mews house is called 'Tutti Frutti' because every one of its rooms is covered in brightly coloured stripes.

Tucked away on a quiet and conservative Knightsbridge street, if it is sold it would become one of the world's most expensive one-bedroom houses.

The white 'exquisite bijou mews house' has been transformed by interior decorator Federica Palacios who has filled the interior with brightly coloured stripes.

Inside even the walls and floor of the double garage are purple, while the kitchen has been painted in equally shocking stripes.

Spread over three floors, it has a large double garage, utility room, kitchen, reception room and shower room, all in a range of bright colours.

Yet despite being short on sleeping quarters, the Knightsbridge property has been put up for sale for a staggering £3.75 million.

This is almost ten times the price of the average home in London and half the price of the Wentworth Woodhouse stately home in South Yorkshire, which is 150 times bigger.

But its price tag is below the £4.5million average asking price on the street.

The 1,200 sq/ft home was put on the market last week with Jeremy Davidson Property Consultants, which declined to comment.

It is being sold with the furnishings and fittings and is just a short walk away from Harrods and Hyde Park.

Property pundit Henry Pryor said Tutti Frutti would be ideal as a home for Prince or as a headquarters for the home selling portal Zoopla.

He added: 'Either would surely be delighted to find themselves in this violet Knightsbridge den.

'It is in one of the most fashionable parts of London, close to the best shops, the coolest restaurants and would surely make some 'trustafarian' daughter very happy.

'Most people would opt for two years at the Savoy Hotel which the Stamp Duty alone would pay for.

'But no doubt there is someone with the decorating taste of Peter Stringfellow who will fall in love with the location and the style.'
