Azerbaijan plans to introduce AI-powered digital assistant for school students

Azerbaijan plans to introduce an artificial intelligence system, EduSLM, to serve as a digital assistant and tutor for school students, the Science and Education Ministry said.

The project is being implemented in cooperation with Presight G42.

According to the ministry, EduSLM will provide personalised learning support based on students’ knowledge levels, answer questions related to school textbooks, generate tests, check and assess homework, and create interactive educational materials.

The AI system will also analyse students’ academic performance and help improve the organisation of the learning process.

The ministry said the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies was expected to improve the quality of education, reduce teachers’ workload and create a more personalised and adaptive learning environment for students.
